Mr. and Mrs. Bennett have five unmarried daughters. Mrs. Bennet hopes that her daughters will find a suitable man very quickly and does everything she can to make this happen. The oldest film version of Jane Austen's novel!? Quite pleasant to follow this often grotesque stuff of the Society, the witty dialogues and the neat direction.
Film won an Oscar for art/direction. They could also have thought of an excellent Greer Garson and Mary Boland in the role of the mother of 5 marriageable daughters was also good in her role.
