The Lion in Winter plot
"All of Britain and half of France were his kingdom. But there was one thing Henry II would never control . . . His Family."
Christmas 1183. The aging English King Henry II arranges a meeting to name his successor. The following people gather: his intriguing but imprisoned wife, Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine; his mistress, Princess Alais, whom he wishes to marry; his three sons (Richard, Geoffrey and John), who all want to be heir apparent; and the young but cunning King Philip, Alais' brother.
