Bandwagon plot

"Finally, a movie about a band."

Tony is fired from his job. He is not sad about this because he much prefers writing lyrics and playing his guitar. He meets the drummer Charlie and they decide to form a band together. Only Tony is afraid to perform in front of an audience, he even has trouble playing for Charlie. Together with Wynn, another guitarist they meet, and Eric, the bass player, they form the band "Circus Monkeys". They want to become rich and famous, but soon find out what the musician life in the big world is all about.
