Tang Lung is a somewhat naive young man, who exchanges the simple country life for the busy, sometimes dangerous city life of Rome. He helps Chinese friends whose restaurant is infested by the local underworld. Initially amused by the newcomer's naivety, the mobsters later find to their shame that he isn't as inexperienced as they thought.

No no, this isn't it.
My first Bruce Lee movie, and what a mess. Now Lee can fight great. The man has great body control and the flexibility with which he moves is wonderful to see.
But other than that this is 10 times nothing. Shit story, disastrous dub and a lack of fun fight scenes. Because he may well jump around and kick, but it's not much more. There doesn't even seem to be a real choreography. Then give me the HK violence from the 90s. The final battle, although more fun (although Norris was allowed to let himself be deforested) doesn't really convince.
1* for Lee's nimble body. The rest is really not to look at.

The Way of the Dragon begins as a light-hearted comedy about a Chinese young man who arrives in Rome for the first time. When he haphazardly orders something from the menu in a restaurant in Rome airport, he is presented with five plates of soup, forcing him to go to the toilet with stomach cramps.
However, once Bruce Lee is allowed to show his fighting skills, the tone of the film changes slightly and we get to see some great confrontations with the bad guys. An impressive example of Lee's acrobatics can be seen when he kicks a lamp hanging from the ceiling from a stationary position.
I saw this movie several times as a kid but couldn't remember when Colt's Theme by Ennio Morricone from the western "Once Upon A Time In The West" was used in the movie. Apparently Bruce Lee wanted to create a kind of Chinese spaghetti westerns with his films? He was decades ahead of Quentin Tarantino and his Kill Bill.
The final fight with Chuck Norris in the Colosseum is well known. Bruce Lee uses every weapon at his disposal, even pulling the hair out of Norris' chest, backing up his claim that any weapon can be used to win a fight. But he also shows respect for his enemy by putting his judo jacket and belt on the corpse of Norris. A beautiful life lesson for all of us!

My second Bruce Lee ever, after the well-known Enter the Dragon. To be honest, I have a bit of mixed feelings about it. I mean, I ended up having a good time with it, it's not annoying to watch. But that's because it's a complete camp. In terms of dialogues and attempts at humor it is not so good. And calling the story a dime a dozen is still optimistic, and Bruce Lee may be a martial arts legend - he wasn't a gifted actor. By the way, I can't remember if he does it in Enter the Dragon, but those screams he gives during the fights, I don't know. Anyway, that's not the point in the end, this is purely a vehicle for some action and combat. The whole movie is set in Rome and the movie drags from fight to fight there, but really only the fight with Chuck Norris in the Colosseum is really worth it. Nice food for the road, but this is also a popcorn variant for a kung fu film.
