Tang Lung is a somewhat naive young man, who exchanges the simple country life for the busy, sometimes dangerous city life of Rome. He helps Chinese friends whose restaurant is infested by the local underworld. Initially amused by the newcomer's naivety, the mobsters later find to their shame that he isn't as inexperienced as they thought.
