After seeing several kung fu films, it had to happen of course, a film with Bruce Lee. The man can't act for a meter, but come on, his fights are solid and that's what we do it for. We already know the story, but it is still nice to see. I like Lee's "successors" more like Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Donnie Yen and others. They have also mastered the genre that made Bruce Lee great. But these names give that a little more and in many other movies, a little more is made of the martial arts movies.
In any case, the film is not bad and certainly a pleasure for fans of the genre. Looking forward to more material from him.

Not good.
At first it seemed reasonable to me. The film still looked quite okay for HK standards and in the meantime I've already watched some Huo Yuanjia/Chen Zhen films so that link was also interesting.
But Lee is not my actor. He fights more with his face than with his body and that just doesn't bother me a lot. Never find his fights really exciting or impressive, again it wasn't much. Sometimes a lot of people fighting in front of the camera, but that just looked sloppy.
With 110 minutes on the clock, it's also way too long, especially since there's still some useless romance involved. Wondering if I'll ever come across another Lee film that says something to me. He probably didn't have much competition back then, but I do wonder how Lee got his reputation.

Mediocre film about a kung-fu student who finds out that his master has been poisoned. A meager tale of good vs evil. Not a problem in itself, but the film is quite repetitive. There are two good, long fight scenes, but in between it all sinks in (and you prefer to see Bruce Lee fighting including his grimaces).
