The Dresser plot
The Dresser tells the story of a fateful night that takes place in a small, regional theater during World War II. A traveling party prepares for King Lear. While the bombs fall, the sirens wail and the curtain opens within the hour, there is great panic when the protagonist suddenly disappears without a trace. His 'dresser' has to do everything he can to ensure that the production can continue.
