Jack is an educated magazine editor in Los Angeles. He is in his twenties, engaged and expecting his first child. Struggling to let go of his childhood and impending adulthood, he is hit hard by the news of his father's death. His father was killed and his mother injured in a horrific car accident. He decides to return to his hometown of Denver to care for his mother.
