Broadway Rhythm plot

"M-G-M's Terrific Technicolor Topper!"

Johnny Demming is a musical producer. He fires his father and entertainer Sam Demming because he thinks he is too old-fashioned. Then Johnny signs a contract with Helen Hoyt, a Hollywood movie star, for a Broadway show but she turns down her role. However, Sam finds an old script that he played in the summer months and it seems that Helen now agrees.
