Pete's Meteor plot

"Do you believe in miracles..."

12-year-old Micky is a boisterous but loyal boy. He lives with his younger brother and sister with his grandmother (Brenda Fricker). One day a meteorite lands in the backyard and the children believe that their deceased parents sent the meteorite (they believe their parents are still alive among the stars). The municipality cleans up the meteorite and has it examined by the local university.
