Frankie Dunlan is an unemployed Vietnam veteran with accompanying traumas and hallucinations, who lives in a shack with his pregnant wife. In addition, Frankie has a mutated baby, having been experimented on for years in the hospital after he returned from Vietnam. The government had even reported him as having died in Saigon. Frankie is in debt and his family has nothing to eat. Something has to happen...

Not really convincing Troma indeed. Drama is not for them. Combat Shock also seems to last much longer than the 92 minutes listed here. Very nice 80's atmosphere and the scenes with the baby are very strong.

This is quite a good comedy 
The green baby with his annoying whine is so bad it just gets funny. The sounds of the faucet leaking and the jabbing with a stick are too laughable for words. Then don't forget the ending where the guy puts his green baby in the oven xD
Ideal video for when you are in a corny mood with some friends and have had enough beer

Finally a movie where at the end I thought: "What the hailz!!??"
An absolute winner for a low-budget film! Just shot on location in New York, with a reed pond nearby as Ersatz-Vietnam, brilliant!!!
Rick Giovinazzo is absolutely believable as a sleazebag loser Vietnam fat about to burst. You can almost taste the poverty and despair in the back of your throat! This is what America does to its heroes! And this is what the hero returns
