Nice film in which a young lawyer tries to get clemency for a woman sentenced to death. This film about the death penalty is overshadowed by the one year earlier released Dead Man Walking, in which it clearly loses out. Certainly not a bad film with a number of good scenes and Sharon Stone also does a fine job. The clemency that is granted at the last minute and then withdrawn is too forced and therefore just short of 3.5 stars.
