Hahaha this is sh#t! Funny enough, but the movie really doesn't take anything seriously, which means the plot -not important anyway- doesn't go anywhere in terms of tension. Still entertaining, but this could be better.

Local amateur theater club and local film amateurs decided to make a fantastic horror movie one weekend. Why would you do that, well following Peter Jackson ... didn't quite work with director Richard Friedman, this turned out to be his masterpiece.
FX are quite funny and there are some funny parts, but you can't take this seriously of course. Some parts are just annoying and long-winded.

So bad it's fun again? That's not always the case in Doom Asylum. Intentionally bad or was this a "student experiment" with a few friends? You'll be asking yourself that question the whole time you're watching. The acting is bad, the cinematography is ugly. The editing, the sets and the make-up. It's all just not there or not at all. Still, I had a good time with how ridiculous Doom Asylum actually is. From the really bad one-liners and dialogues to the ok to bad make-up. Everything has its charm. But Doom Asylum really isn't good.
