"Love thy neighbor's… money"
In this sarcastic comedy, the odd-job real estate agent Julia (Carmen Maura) accidentally discovers the hoarded lotto fortune of a recently passed elderly eccentric and happily drinks a glass of her fortune. Too bad for Julia: in her attempt to smuggle the finder's fee in garbage bags out of the monumental Madrid building unnoticed, she finds the inmates of the late old boss opposite her. These appear to have waited years for the opportunity to divide the money among themselves.

Starting to have more and more fun in De La Iglesia's films. So is this one. The film slowly escalates, due to the subtle structure and subtle explanation of the characters, so that you can go along with the crazy mess that is after the money. Wonderful black comedy moments especially, later (and at times better and more fun) redone with Crimen Ferpecto.

Great over the top comedy movie.
Very nice story and with some violent scenes that I had a lot of fun with.
The film is also top notch towards the end.
Well acted also by the cast and they bring a good atmosphere to the film.

Oh dear. Just a nice absurd film, with crazy characters. A little crazy, should be possible. However, towards the climax, the film suddenly seems to take itself a bit more seriously and it really can't have that. No more crazy things, but scenes like in a solid action thriller, but then very, very, very badly executed, both in acting and in imaging. Deadly sin. It also really goes beyond the sarcastic and parody, so just really not good. It's a shame it didn't stay in the goofy, easy lane as the first half of the film.
