2.5, the sequel.

Same concept as Jackass 2.5. You are presented with a lot of outtakes, supplemented with some basic interviews with the main characters. They regularly add something, sometimes a little context can give a stunt or joke a little more weight.

On the other hand, a lot of things are simply outtake material. Edited in quick succession, often still fun, but not exactly brilliant on their own. Certain skits are still fun, like the woodpecker or the snapping turtle, but all together that's maybe 10 minutes of the entire film.

It is probably an advantage to have never seen the TV series, but this material is just that little bit fresher and more original. In any case, I had quite a bit of fun with it. Definitely not great cinema, but good entertainment.

3.0*

Not really my sense of humor either. I think if you do this yourself it is a lot more fun, but this kind of puberty is a lot less fun as a viewer. Every now and then there is a good moment (with those coke bottles and those basketballs) but otherwise the film is mainly a collage of all kinds of scenes that are often not very great and are therefore quite boring for 45 minutes straight. I'll keep quiet about the interviews and documentary-like style. 1.5*.

Director Jeff Tremaine shows for 84 minutes that the cast members of the Jackass series make each other's lives miserable and have fun. In that respect, I have never fully understood the raison d'être of the .5 series, other than showing some (painful) and moderately comic situations that are of course inferior to the series itself. The intermezzos and interviews that are conducted in between are completely useless and uninformative, which is why the inclusion also goes over my head. I got a lot of enjoyment out of the original series and to some extent the secondary series, but it's clear that the level of this film just doesn't match the "big" films.
