La roga del tuo chiappe è il sorriso della vita
Jean-Pierre Marielle is about to have a second and probably fatal heart attack, but instead of recovering quietly behind the begonias, he goes all out with the Seigner sisters - of which Mathilde plays her first film role here - even though it is on the tongue to say 'it doesn't amount to much'. For almost all other actresses, that would be a red flag on their CV, but hey, it's France, and they already had Bardot and Birkin there.
Besides the, ahem, beautiful images, the film is occasionally funny, although it is not exactly very subtle. Richard Bohringer does have a nice role, more fun than Marielle's actually with his wonderfully blunt statements and smooth tongue. And he can also pronounce the beautiful quote that I already started with.

Visually beautiful (with some very nice shots) and in itself the film is right up my alley in terms of tone, but the film hardly managed to interest me. The first fifteen minutes, but then the film lacks some focus and the film loses me. Characters don't fascinate and the yellow was also a bit dated. 2.0*.
