"A Hideous Monster from Beyond the Grave!"
In the fourteenth century, a small group of heroes mutiny during an expedition of the Spaniard Ptolemy Firello in California. They are led by Vargas, one of Firello's lieutenants. The group heads for the mountains in search of gold, and is never seen again. A hundred years later, Vargas is freed by a lightning strike, only to be released by strange creatures to terrorize a nearby village.
