"Paris Before Dawn - The end of an interlude of love, lust and murder...running its course while the city sleeps. As if terrified by the light of day...it waits, only to return under cover of another night."
Inspector Georges Vallois is charged with investigating the murder of Parisian nightclub owner Albert Simoni. The prime suspect is Lucky Fridel, a young German woman who has come to Paris to build a career as a singer. Vallois is seduced by Lucky and falls in love with her, despite discovering that she is a drug addict. Determined to prove Lucky's innocence, he learns that whoever is supplying her with drugs is Simoni's likely killer.
