Un Papillon sur l'Épaule plot
A Frenchman in Barcelona discovers a corpse in a neighboring hotel room, is knocked down and ends up in a mental institution. The doctor questions him about the possession of a suitcase and his wife is kidnapped with the same suitcase as ransom. The main character becomes more and more entangled in a Kafkaian labyrinth without even knowing if his identity is not being confused.
