Red-haired kleptomaniac and nymphomaniac Dorothy Lyon is released on bail at the hands of her also red-haired sister June and then comes under June's care. June is the secretary of the politician Frank Jansen, a candidate for the Democrats and in love with June. Jansen's opponent Ben Grace, who has contacts with the gangster leader Sol Caspar, uses this information to undermine Jansen's political campaign.
