"IT CRUSHES! KILLS! DESTROYS!"
An American nuclear submarine encounters a mysterious creature while on a reconnaissance mission in the Pacific Ocean. According to the submarine's sonar, it is a sea creature of enormous size. Commander Pete Mathews errs on the safe side and gets his men to safety as quickly as possible. Upon their arrival at Pearl Harbor, tissue from the animal, which became entangled in the ship's propeller, is scrutinized by experts. They unanimously decide that the submarine was attacked by a giant octopus.
