After almost 6 years it was time for a review again, remains a very nice and entertaining film! The adventure to the perfect burger!

The film is very bland here and there but it doesn't bother you for a moment, of course it helps if you are a bit off the map yourself!

I think 4.5 stars is a bit too high, but I can easily give it 4 stars after so many years.

Harold and Kumar are nice characters who can certainly carry the film, but I don't find them so strong that I feel the need to watch the other films. The many adventures they experience are hilarious at times, but unfortunately there is more focus on quantity than on quality, a lot of locations are completed in just under an hour and a half. The supporting roles and the plot were mediocre, an entertaining film but certainly not an outlier within the genre.

The director of Dude, Where's My Car is making a second attempt at a two-friends-in-the-rider comedy and I think he succeeds better with Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. I'm not a big fan of those stoner comedies that popped up like mushrooms around the year 2000, but this lovable adventure from Harold and Kumar is genuinely witty. It is especially nice that the film dares to be absurd, cartoonish and stupid here and there. For example, a sketch with that Freakshow is fun. The chemistry between Penn and Cho is also very strong, which of course the film has to rely on. Definitely not a movie for everyone, but from me the duo Harold and Kumar can join the Bill and Teds, Cheech and Chongs and Harry and Lloyds of this world without shame.

3.5 stars.
