When I saw this title, I knew right away: I want to see it! And I had a great time with it. But what a strange film this is. Yes, it is low budget and certainly with a fairly comic element, but this is certainly not an MST3K-like D-horror (like The Mighty Peking Man that I saw a few days ago). It is a bizarre film, with a lot of strange things about it. An absurd concept, where a possessed bed eats people. A strange way of telling, where we regularly see flashbacks of historical situations, where it is not always clear to me how it fits into the film. And a voice-over, that makes everything feel rather distant and dreamy. In any case, there is a mysterious atmosphere, and it certainly has an absurdist and humorous tone at times. Like the actual murders, where the bed dissolves the victims like a barrel of acid. Except for things like the apple, from which it takes nice bites. The slurping and smacking sounds. But often enough the experiments don't work that way, and it becomes a bit slow and boring. And as you might expect with such a film, not everything is equally credible. Nevertheless, big kudos for this kind of cinematic experiments, even though quite a lot goes wrong, I still enjoyed myself quite well. If only because I was watching with a frown, and I like to do that. You know what, I'll add another half.

Admittedly, the plot did trigger me. I've seen everything pass by, even an eating fridge, but an eating bed, no, that was new.

And actually it was quite disappointing. Very strange plot ditto approach. With a man behind a painting, a lousy voice-over and a film that feels like a dream sequence. It is also not clear to me why people felt attracted to the building and the bed.

The kills are funny (not to use the word ridiculous). That apple and that bottle of wine haha... but actually well done with that acid and that foam. And then towards the end you see a man happily walking around with fleshless hands with a hand skeleton, well...
