"It's not a virus... it's evolution."

The biologist Toshiaki Nagashima has been researching the functioning of the mitochondria for years and discovered that the organ contains important DNA strands that behave strangely like parasites. When Nagashima's wife suddenly dies, he decides to clone her back to life, but the final clone turns out to have a few exceptional properties.
