A decent film about a teenage girl who is completely obsessed with a pop singer and writes him many letters. The film starts off fine, but there is a bit too much build-up and it is all delivered rather slowly. The finale is worthwhile, but the real shock effect is lacking. Clearly a product of its time, certainly because of the music. Nevertheless, the main character manages to captivate, which is why it just barely gets 3.0 stars.

Quite a disappointing movie, considering the positive reviews and the cult status of this film. The story gets off to a very slow start and has little to offer apart from Désirée Nosbusch, an eerie sound, and some drama. It is all presented very austerely, with little to no attention paid to suspense, settings, or character traits. After just under an hour, the film picks up some steam with some sex and murder, but even here the director fails to move the viewer. A strange movie where expectations were much higher. 4/10

Interesting film by a director who, besides this, mainly made some typical German soft erotic stuff—a German seventies style. And you can still see traces of that. With music by the band in which the actor played the R (and otherwise barely acted) was also the actual singer: Rheingold. Who even had a minor hit in the Netherlands at the time of this film with *Dreiklangsdimensionen*. Typical fun Neue Deutsche Welle music. The film is a sometimes somewhat shaky mix of soft erotica, coming-of-age, thriller, and some horror. Not entirely successful, but remains very fascinating.
