Insane British scientist Nahum Witley is visited by American Stephen Reinhart, who knows his daughter from university. While Stephen is more interested in the beautiful Susan, Witley works on life-threatening experiments that are not without consequences. When Witley's own wife also falls victim to his diabolical practices, Stephen and Susan intervene. But for some it is already too late and only then does the true scope of Witley's dangerous experiments really become apparent.

A partially successful horror film with a reasonable acting performance by Boris Karloff.
The first half of the film is quite entertaining, with the atmosphere of a mysterious haunted house thriller. Afterwards, the themes and atmosphere change completely (radioactivity, genetic manipulation, mutated plants and humans), and it becomes much less interesting.
The rest of the cast acts very poorly and the special effects are laughable rather than terrifying.

Decent pulp from the 60s.
Quite a trashy monster movie. So, nothing really special. Otherwise, I did find it funny. But I don't know if that was the intention 
. The acting (except for Karloff) is poor and weak. I didn't think the script was great either.
