Mediocre werewolf film with a lot of ketchup, but with some very beautiful, graceful ladies.

This werewolf film with Paul Naschy is not good anywhere, but I thought it was not too bad.

The combination of vampires and werewolves has been made before in films and I still think it is a strange combination. Why put these two in one movie? Anyway...

The story and script are full of clichés: ladies stranded in the middle of nowhere, a house without electricity and telephone, no cars and I could go on and on. In addition, one unbelievable event follows another in rapid succession.

Yet the film does have its charms here and there. The werewolf scenes don't come across that well, but the vampire scenes are still pretty cool here and there. In addition, the film is fortunate that it falls within a genre in which so much has already been made that the film cannot actually be seen as dramatically bad within the context of the genre.

Released on DVD in the Netherlands as "The Werewolf Shadow". It is still worth the few euros I paid for it, but I wouldn't pay too much for it if people wanted to buy it.

Of the twelve films on the theme of Waldemar Daninsky, this is a strange story about a werewolf and Wandessa, the female vampire. The story is fairly chaotic in structure and all kinds of side characters make their appearance. Naschy as Waldemar tries to protect his loved one from Wandessa. This leads to a bizarre final scene in the knight's grave where the main characters meet in a deadly confrontation. It won't be really exciting.

This is only the third film in this franchise that has now been seen. Ultimately just a mediocre horror work despite the nice concept. Also quite well-behaved in terms of nudity, considering the films with Naschy. 5/10
