reasonable movie,

Disappointed me a bit though.

The sets in the film look particularly slick. People with a fear of contamination would be able to ground well with these images. Definitely looks nice, very finished all.

Another good thing about the film is that it is not predictable. As a viewer you are sent from hort to her for a long time, by 2 opponents who get the best out of each other. Few other characters in this movie. The story focuses mainly on the psychological battle between the two. Little gore too.

In terms of tension, this film falls short of a film like Tesis. Especially because that film is unpredictable in several areas and focuses less on psychological tension between 2 people. I didn't feel any real persecution madness in this film, instead a lot of mutual dialogues. In addition, the music was not really atmospheric.

Nice to have seen once, but far from perfect. The film just falls short in all areas to be consistently captivating. In addition, I had hoped for a bit more on a so-called nail biter. Due to the fact that both already knew each other and we as viewers quickly notice this, this was less the case. Factors from the environment were thus eliminated. That took away some tension. 3.5*

Fascinating and tightly designed film, completely devoted to a psychological game between two people who at a given moment alternately have the upper hand.

Although the premise is very far-fetched, it creates a good dose of doubt that is unfortunately dispelled too soon before the end. The actors are in place and how the lady spews out a few words in Spanish during the word game ... quite horny .. : p

Only in the final phase the film takes on stage-like forms: the way they neatly face each other, plus a bit of overacting (a shortcoming that you often see in Spanish-language films). But the latter could also be because there is a lot of lying and therefore acting by the characters.

In terms of content and manipulation, this film is somewhat similar to Alexandra's Project and Deceiver, both also doable.

Interesting piece of Spanish cinema, which takes it wonderfully on the psychological tour. Strikingly unknown, apparently. Low-budget, but well stylized, relying heavily on mono/dialogue and acting. The latter is strong on the one hand, which is necessary to keep this plot attractive. On the other hand, sometimes just a bit too much, so that it doesn't really come across: instead of the intended icy interaction, it sometimes feels aloof, and that's a shame. After all, the main character has it all.
There is a lavish with, all that not small, twists thrown in. We've seen such an interrogation scene before, but it does its job. As a viewer you go along anyway. Still, it just didn't reach me. Kudos for daring to include that last scene, for example, makes it even more offbeat.
