I never thought I'd say this, but compared to this sequel, the original seems subtle. They've truly turned this into an over-the-top feast of weird effects, insane characters, and crass jokes. It's irritating to the point of being so. It certainly doesn't help that everything seems to be voiced with excruciating helium voices and that the sound effects are overly childish. The soundtrack also becomes rather monotonous after a while. Yet, there's a certain charm to the fact that the troma vibe oozes through here too, in its extreme awfulness, because here too, it feels as if this total assault on the senses was done with love for cinema.

I still had a lot of fun with this Troma.

Take the most deranged combination of characters (from an overweight biker to a bearded scientist with the highest voice ever) and you've got yourself a fine company for this film.

The (makeup) effects still look pretty good, and the crazy situations and twists provide plenty of dull entertainment. Plus, they seem to have attempted a world record for most scantily clad onscreen women in a single film. Well, Troma, it's still so bad that it's becoming enjoyable again. Not as good as the first one, but still very entertaining pulp.

A tiresome sequel to tiresome source material, a world that doesn't exactly invite a sequel. While the first chapter did benefit from its wacky concept and quirky set design, that effect is completely lost in this second installment. The acting is still exceptionally poor, there's not much high school left in it, and the rather uninteresting basic premise is dragged out endlessly. Thankfully, directing duo Eric Louzil and Donald G. Jackson occasionally deliver a funny moment and use practical effects to flesh out the horror. This results in a few commendable moments, but they're too few to lift this soulless, endlessly dull project.
