A weak infusion of a rom bowl full of flat characters and expected aha-experience. I've seen much better ones in this genre.

“You have different values. For example... she HAS them!”

Mediocre rom com. Artificial story, stupid dialogues and no chemistry between the actors at all. Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! lacks humor and the romantic part does not get off the ground at all. This is mainly due to Duhamel and Grace, because both are really bad. A plus is Bosworth, which forms the sparkling centerpiece.

faint.

Didn't really expect anything different from this director after his film before, but oh well. Topher Grace was in it, the film doesn't last too long and maybe it ticks away as nice entertainment. Based on those criteria I decided to give it a chance, but afterwards I didn't exactly benefit from it.

The acting is better than I expected. I expected a decent role from Grace, but sometimes it's the chemistry between Duhamel and Bosworth that really surprises me. Definitely knows what to do during the first half, which makes that stuff with Grace as the sneaky "one" as well as the breakup between the two feel totally out of place within the framework of the film. Found that is a remarkable result.

Everything else is just a bit bland. The film is a typical case of a whole that mixes comedy and romance. Not that things don't go together very well here, but you usually do hope that the film finally does something that is not felt miles in advance. Films within this genre that often follow the same line is of course not a big problem, but it is if you stay as safe in it as this film does.

Ultimately, it mainly lacks impact. This movie is definitely not going to stay with me. I can't say I'm sorry about that, but I do think it's a shame that Grace is being discarded. If there is a character that is a bit more fun than Bosworth and Duhamel, it is Grace. But in the end he is pushed back quite far, so that the outcome itself doesn't feel really satisfying. Well, at least I've seen it I guess.
