Reuben Feffer is terrified of any risk in his life. On his honeymoon he is then cheated by his wife, who runs off with a diving instructor. Once home, Reuben runs into former classmate Polly Prince again. Reuben asks Polly out and wants to build a relationship with her, only to discover that Polly's lifestyle is completely different from his own.

Despite Philip Seymour Hoffman (he's obviously the funniest) Along Came Polly isn't too good. The story gets messy towards the end and Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston have little humor in them. Furthermore, all very routine with few fun moments.
