Larson Whipsnade is a circus director who is constantly on the run from the authorities due to financial difficulties. In addition, he despises Edgar who is the only decent act of the circus. Unfortunately for him, his daughter Vicki, whom he adores, falls passionately in love with Edgar. But the extremely wealthy Roger Bel-Goodie also competes for her hand.
