This was Abbott and Costello's 28th and final film for "Universal Pictures." In 1965, a compilation film was released by "Universal" under the title "The World of Abbott and Costello." For Bud Abbott, it was the last time he was seen with his pencil mustache. This look has been shown consistently since Jack and the Beanstalk. Although their characters in the film were named Peter Patterson and Freddie Franklin, the duo addressed each other by their real names throughout the film. This with the exception of the credits. Prior to filming, Costello had been suffering from rheumatic fever. That explains his somewhat pale appearance. His daughter Carole Costello again has a brief cameo. This time she plays the role of a flower girl.

This last Abbott and Costello film for "Universal Pictures" manages to put a smile on your face every now and then. Partly thanks to Lou Costello's clumsy performance. Personally, I'm done with this duo's films for now, and I thought they were reasonable to good.

2.5 *
