"Secrets of a doctor as told by a doctor!"
A hardworking, poor doctor from a mining village in Wales has to watch helplessly as his patients' coal-dusted lungs fail to improve. The relatives resent the death of their relatives, causing his practice to languish. Then he tries to build a new life in London and becomes a "society doctor". He provides for a carefree existence and neglects his wife and friends. A tragic incident opens his eyes.
