"Everyone has something to hide"

Babee (Thomas Newton), a lonely young artist, becomes fascinated by his new neighbors Keith (Rutger Hauer) and Vera (Virginia Madsen). His innocent world is turned upside down when Keith is involved in a life-threatening accident and is declared brain dead. Feeling responsible, Babee helps Vera take care of Keith, but falls in love with her. Then Babee learns that Keith is pretending to get revenge on some friends who cheated on him in the past. He keeps the secret to himself, but then there is a witness that Keith kills two friends. Without Babee being able to do anything about it, he gets into more and more trouble...
