1985 Iraq: When an American and his wife arrive at the border in Iraq, she can walk through, but he is arrested for an inhumane interrogation. His wife tells her brother-in-law what happened, and this ex-marine flies straight to Iraq to free his brother, who has since been imprisoned.

A typical product from the Cannon stable, but Dudikoff really falls short compared to other action stars from the 80's. That makes such a film a boring watch very quickly. Furthermore, The Human Shield has a lot of silliness and illogical things, which makes the film bearable.

Today I watched on DVD, ''The Human Shield'' or ''Marine Fighter'' as it is actually called.
The story goes that this time Dudikoff has to rescue his brother who is being held somewhere in Iraq.
He also meets his brother-in-law, whose son is later also imprisoned and the brother-in-law has since been forced to marry the leader of the Iraqi mercenaries.
The action scenes are good, at the beginning we see an attack on innocent people that Dudikoff witnesses and later we see numerous action scenes in the form of explosions, shootings and an occasional fight.
It never really gets spectacular and it doesn't really go all out with a few explosions after the ones we see at the end.
You can guess the ending and I have to say that this was not the best film with Dudikoff, I even found it a bit boring at times and the action was also a bit too little.
So otherwise entertaining, but not the best!
