Die Stille nach dem Schuß plot
Germany, the 1970s. Rita (Bibiana Beglau) is a terrorist in the RAF (Rote Armee Faction). An attempt to free a gang member from prison ends in a bloody shooting. They are identified and their photos are distributed by the media. Rita walks over to East Germany with some companions, where the Stasi welcomes them with open arms. In exchange for a few attacks, they enjoy government protection. After some time, Rita is tired of the violence and decides to call it quits. She is assigned a new name and hiding place. However, with the fall of the Berlin Wall, her cover is shattered.
