Better than the previous movie.

The jokes were a bit better and more fun. It was also much more entertaining in terms of entertainment. Gets a 2.0.

The first film wasn't exactly a film that was crying out for a sequel, but enough money in the drawer quickly ensures a second film. And well, just like the first part, this is certainly not as fun pulp as that TV series, but luckily it still manages to entertain. A few funny creations (including a lot of winks and references to the series) and a few nice supporting roles (Boyle, Green and especially fine work by voice actor Scott McNeil) make it all still quite watchable. Furthermore, the standard story; teen rock songs and annoying dance scenes are used all the time, every subplot has its own moral and every successful joke is interspersed with a lot of 'banging your head' or 'farting'. In that regard, it's a good bite to eat for the target group.

Small 2.5 stars.

Ah.

Films like Scooby-Doo are also difficult to milk, so this film didn't really need a sequel. I'm especially amazed that the sequel has come out at all and that they can pull it off in a span of 2 years. If you have been waiting for that, I can imagine that there are some disappointments.

The characters are all back and end up doing nothing new. The main change is that this time no theme park is stuck in the background, but a colossal complex. That brings with it new adventures and finds, despite the fact that the mystery itself is somewhat overpowered by the rather present humor. Such a Lillard, for example, can't help but demand attention, but he is also the ideal face for this role.

Furthermore, still dated visually and not many effects come out really well. I thought the threats were bland and once you know that there are people behind the screen after all the reveal doesn't make it any better. Nice to see Silverstone joining the film. I've come to appreciate it more and more recently.

I thought it was a slightly more tiring follow-up to a first part that wasn't exactly great either. If they actually repeat the formula one more time for this sequel, the unpredictable is quickly gone, and that was something that the previous part managed to handle a little better. What is especially a lack is the nice location from the first film. Unfortunately, the difference is noticed.
