Slightly lame plot, but still very entertaining. The comparison with 'Blue Velvet' and 'Wild at Heart' is and is not unjustified; it may explain the plot, but Hopper has only heard the bell ring in this case, where Lynch actually knows where the clapper is.

Connelly - my god; Madsen. Johnson - oh well, got used to him over time, and 'Miami Vice' remains a bit of a classic. I also want to try 'Dead Bang' again. Also excellent supporting roles from Jack Nance, among others.

What an ending Really think this is a great film noir, one of the more successful modern copies. Sultry and sultry thriller in which a bum, Harry Madox, arrives in a small town and gets a job as a used car salesman. The man has a weakness: women. You have the lovely accountant of 19 and the slutty wife of the boss. His fatal attraction to the latter, in particular, reveals something important about his personality, for Madox is no choirboy himself and the danger Dolly embodies tempts his own dark side... He cannot resist it though he knows he should. to do. In the jargon this is called a "femme fatale" of course.

The atmosphere is exceptionally good here : sweaty temperatures, spinning horns, neon lights, strip bars, jazzy soundtrack, wet bodies, a little sleazy ... that's what I sign for. It compensates for a story that is a bit on the slow side, but never really comes to a standstill. Johnson didn't disappoint… and certainly not the ladies. A great movie in my opinion.

Long time ago for me, this sexy film noir. At a second turn a lot less. Too slow and it's not easy to enjoy with such a bastard as the main character, nothing to the detriment of Don Johnson. The main attraction remains a stark naked Jennifer Connelly, next to a horny and crazy Virginia Madsen. Unfortunately, her femme fatale character is also a bit irritating. The blues tunes throughout the movie too. All in all, this is a much lesser Body Heat. Skillfully made and beautifully shot, but it lacks atmosphere and tension.
