A film that relies primarily on atmosphere. And that atmosphere is good.

A woman has lost her mind. The madness is beautifully depicted in illusory images. They have an almost artistic quality. They show grotesque perceptions that don't correspond to reality and are filled with vibrant colors. Atmospheric, surreal, and exciting.

The film itself (the story) isn't particularly exciting. The tension really comes from the atmosphere. The surrounding action fits in well, but doesn't exactly heighten the tension.

While it's a perfectly decent film, I did find myself losing focus a few times. Not all scenes are equally interesting or worth watching.

Kendra is a beautiful woman. And she's a great actor, too. She convincingly portrays a mentally unstable and, above all, terrifying woman. A fine performance, and hopefully, truly based on acting talent.

Goddess of Love is small but beautiful. It's not the horror I usually enjoy; it's all too light for that. However, it's perfectly acceptable as an atmospheric, psychological thriller.

It's easy to score points by having a beautiful woman walk around half- or fully naked for half the movie, but it just works. It's wonderful to see a woman who, besides a beautiful body—and isn't afraid to show it off—also possesses acting talent. That makes it all the more real, and Alexis Kendra convincingly portrays an unstable woman whose decline continues. At times beautiful and sexy, but just as often completely cuckoo. Don't stick your dick in crazy. Brian will do it.

The story is wafer-thin, but it's the atmosphere that makes it so. From the sleazy dressing rooms of a strip club to Venus's dark, secluded apartment, the setting is powerful and slightly depressing. The delusions Venus experiences are often subtle and therefore successful. Slight distortions of reality, image, and sound are effectively transferred to the film. Combined with the editing, it sometimes reminded me of Requiem for a Dream. Although this little work absolutely can't match that power.

The film is completely carried by Kendra, a joy to watch, whether she's half-naked on stage or waving a screwdriver around like a madwoman. Those few brief moments of violence were also good, with a sense of realism. The score also contributes to the atmosphere, culminating in the noisy neighbor.

The ending feels a bit like a forced infusion of intelligence, but in my opinion, that wasn't necessary. It is surprising, though. The whole thing feels a bit "too small" to give a high score, but it's certainly not a waste of time. I'm eagerly awaiting new genre films featuring Kendra!

Thanks to the strong acting and sensual appearance of lead actress Alexis Kendra, this film manages to hold its own despite the fact that not much happens. Alexis Kendra is often seen in sexy lingerie or nude, but she plays her role very convincingly. Unfortunately, there's not much gore, but the surprising murder of her boyfriend is a real one It's a bit slow, and of course, a film where the main character can no longer distinguish between reality and fantasy. 6/10
