Two families of very different origins live in a small town in the north of France: the Groseille family has a modest income, while the Le Quesnoy family leads a wealthy life. Twelve years ago, Nurse Josette switched two newborn babies. It appears to have been son Le Quesnoy and daughter Groseille. One day Josette decides to inform both parents of this, with all the consequences that entails.
