At the beginning of the summer holidays, Tammy, Andrea's best friend and girl next door, moves to California. Andrea can come and stay there, but then has to earn part of the travel costs herself. She does this by offering herself as a pet sitter. By mistake, her brother Noah leaves the garden door open, allowing all the animals to escape and wreak havoc on a summer market. Get rid of all the hard-earned money. Coincidentally, the new boy next door is a volleyball fanatic who participates in beach volleyball. The grand prize is a trip to California for the whole team and that seems to become possible when it is discovered that Buddy is excellent in that branch of sport.
