Three Point, in the southwestern United States, is experiencing a severe drought. So it's no surprise that charming swindler Bill Starbuck, who thinks he can provide rain for 100 dollars, is welcomed with open arms by the farmers. En passant he loosens things up with Lizzie.

funny movie in which Katherine Hepburn worries her father and 2 brothers because she still hasn't found a man, then the charming con man (Lancaster) comes along and after a while he releases something in her, but the sheriff's deputy in the village is also there.
At first I thought it was half western but with the cars and the story it's more of a comedy film version of a play.
Quite funny at times and Lancaster plays his role with great enthusiasm.
