Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter plot
"Puppets Vs. An All New Evil!"
Rick Myers was arrested for a series of strange murders, but is ransomed by Dr. Jennings. He hears Rick's special story about Andre Toulon's living dolls and the evil Totems, who attacked him and his friends. Rather than calling him crazy, Dr. Jennings and three mercenaries go in search of these dolls to take them with them. But meanwhile, the strongest Totem is still lurking.

Too bad they did almost the same thing as part 4, this one adds little.
It was all quite nicely done but lacked the tension of the previous part.

Silly sequel to part 4, which has an almost identical set-up and offers little new. It's a pity that those pesky demons show up here again and only bring the level down. It's nice that Torch is back, after inexplicably disappearing in part 4.

The previous parts offered some pulp entertainment, but this fifth part can simply be described as pure garbage. In a cheap series like Puppet Master it is of course a matter of time before the first turds start rolling out, but the makers here have at least lasted another 5 films. That is of course worth a small congratulations, but it certainly does not make sitting through this whole thing any easier. The story continues where the previous part left off (so you have the same concept, the same characters and the same opponents) and that brings so little innovation that it quickly gets bogged down. Moreover, the puppets come into action less and less and the violence is increasingly reduced, not exactly changes that benefit a film like this. In addition, all cast members have little acting skills, so there is little to spot that is actively entertaining. Completely miserable to get through and that doesn't exactly motivate me to sit through the other 9 parts.
