"When Bad Puppets Turn Good"
Rick, a young scientist, is attacked one night by strange creatures called Totems. They turn out to be from the God of demons, Sutekh. Rick then discovers a suitcase containing Andre Toulon's special dolls and a formula to bring them back to life. Once alive, Toulon's dolls face off against the evil creatures to protect their new master.

Another quite nice part that is exciting at times.
It is not much horror, but it is entertaining, especially because of the short playing time.
Acting wasn't bad either.

Puppet Master 4 has a nice set-up but goes wrong with those demons from the underworld. They do not come close to the nice design of Toulon's dolls and only expose amateurism. Weak design. Nevertheless, this is one of the more fun parts. What's especially nice is that the film lasts less than 80 minutes.

Campy enough not to completely fall through the lower limit, but this fourth part cannot reach the level of its predecessors. Director Jeff Burr uses the (kind of) psychology that part 3 had, making the puppets once again protagonists and no longer the antagonists. The second comes in the form of small demons, but the lack of variation in design makes them less than intimidating. Once again, the production also has actors who deliver lousy performances, with Gordon Currie taking the cake in incompetence. Yet it is felt necessary to add drama and considerable depth to the whole, which further emphasizes the fact that there is little acting talent. The build-up is not too interesting, but fortunately the finale provides a lot of bombastic entertainment. That works out well enough to bring the score to a close 2.0*.
