Saint Petersburg, 1892. Sasha is a young girl from an aristocratic family. She is completely captivated by the adventurous life of her grandfather Oloukine, a well-known explorer. He wanted to conquer the North Pole, but never returned from his expedition. Sasha's grandfather's reputation fades and gives way to disgrace. The arctic ship he designed (the Davai) also cost a lot of money, so that the family not only had to take a lot of criticism, but also had to deal with creditors. Her parents want to marry Sasha off to give her a better life, but that is not to her liking. To restore her family's honor, Sasha runs away from home. She travels to the far north, following in her grandfather's footsteps, in search of the famous ship and crew.
