For someone who grew up with The A-Team like me, it is perhaps impossible to see George Peppard as a serious actor.
Yet, he actually comes out on top in this utter blunder. Jean Seberg outshines him, but his role is too brief, and the rest are either non-entities or overacting. But that is hardly noticeable, because the script is so annoyingly weak that it takes all the penalty points.
What is still interesting from a technical perspective is how beautiful the Technicolor images are, with overly saturated yellow and red. That is what we were used to back then, and how much fresher does that actually look than the worn-out color grading of today, which turns everything into a washed-out mess.
Apparently, you can still see that there were riots in Washington during the filming due to the murder of MLK. I hadn't noticed it; I only saw it mentioned afterwards in the trivia list on IMDB.
