Without Norris.

There are those action films that have little to offer besides the main ingredient 'action'. Because the dialogues are silly or because the actors are represented by perhaps stuntmen, because this is cheaper. This typical 80s flick (don't be fooled by the year) has all the wrong factors, but is therefore even more cheesy and cult sensitive.

Martial arts predominate and of course Mako, Hong and Professor Tanaka are present. The Sony Crocket smelling Speakman has just as little charisma as Chuck Norris, but if the bearded karateka had been chosen instead of him, the Chuckmeister would have made his magnus opus. In any case, this work breathes Cannon and the Stairmaster would have been excellent here.

Good.

Disappointing film in which a kenpo expert returns to his hometown and does something about the injustice there. A weak story that is certainly not helped by the wooden dialogues and ditto editing. The acting is of a questionable level. Still a few nice fight scenes, but too little sensational for 2.5 stars.
