Barça Zou plot

In the summer they turned eighteen, Emile, Paul, Hascoët, and Léo left for Barcelona, the mecca of skateboarding, for their first vacation with friends. They live on vacuum-packed tortillas, drink hot cans of Lemon Damm, and spend their days and nights at the Macba. Ten years later, they call each other up and reminisce.

A small, unassuming film about looking back on your youth and the loss of it. Partly you see the journey of 10 years back, and partly the hassle of the present. A meandering film with little plot, but one that, despite this and its lighthearted tone, manages to convey a kind of melancholy. And skateboarding remains a cinematic hobby. I also get the impression that (partly due to a culture of filming your skate tricks, which is also in the film) there is a clear overlap between filmmakers and (ex-)skateboarders, causing it to appear relatively often in films.
