A familiar premise, à la Phoneboot etc. There is a task to be completed; you watch in so-called real time. Lewis steals the show as an analyst and perfectly highlights the danger of the digital world and AI. Gadot, as a persistent woman with a traumatic past, shows that a mother will do anything for her child. The finale is cleverly conceived for the observant viewer. Rewind could have been omitted or would have fit better in or after the credits. Sexual content? In my opinion, just some underwear shots isn't sex. All in all, a good "easy watch" 2.7* - airing on Prime

Seemed interesting to me. But what a weak movie. And something with a bomb at the end??

I wouldn't waste my time on it.

Prime has made a monstrosity again here; someone on the net is saying you'd be better off going jogging for the duration of the film. That's actually healthy, too, whereas this movie only gives you stress and too much cortisol—what misery.

I'll say it again: if I didn't order regularly from Amazon, where you get your 3 euros back immediately by not having to pay shipping costs, I would have cancelled it long ago, because Prime isn't really worth even 3 euros to me—one misery after another...

If you smooth out the rough edges of a cult classic like 'Lola Rennt' (1998). I had put on 'The Runner' (2026) to gloat over Gal Gadot's abominable acting, but it turned out to be better than expected. She does what is required in a physical role where it is actually more important that she runs convincingly than that she delivers a star performance. And in that sense, you get your money's worth, because London comes to life as a surreal disaster course in which every strolling oncoming runner tries to thwart the failed runner. It is actually quite amusing when she gets hit by a car or steals phones and then tries to make contact with others. It is just a shame about the incredibly stupid ending, in which they opt for the most implausible solution.
